Trier Christmas Market – then home to your own apartment, not a hotel.

Mulled wine from a Moselle winemaker, wooden stalls between half-timbered gables and Germany's oldest cathedral as the backdrop: the Trier Christmas Market runs from 20 November to 22 December 2026 on the Hauptmarkt and the Domfreihof – in 2024 it was voted Germany's best Christmas market. And if you stay over the holidays, you celebrate New Year's Eve on the Moselle with a view of the floodlit Porta Nigra instead of a packed big city.

Our holiday apartments surround the old town: on foot across the bridge, a few minutes by bus, or by train from the Saar valley. After the market, your own kitchen is waiting for a late-night tea, a sofa instead of a hotel corridor, and breakfast in your dressing gown the next morning. Self check-in by code – no problem even after the last mulled wine.

From your apartment to the mulled wine

Pallien – Red Rock Home and LOFT34 sit beneath the red cliffs on the other bank of the Moselle: across the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge you reach the Hauptmarkt on foot in a quarter of an hour. No bus, no taxi, no hunting for parking – the choice if you want to stay late at the market.

Olewig – the Olewig Suite is in the middle of the wine village, ten minutes into the city centre by bus. A glass of Riesling at the winemaker round the corner after the market: Olewig is wonderfully quiet in Advent.

Biewer & Ehrang – Deluxe Suite, Soho Home, Studio21 and Boho Home are our quiet apartments with free parking right at the house. 10–15 minutes to the old town by car or bus – ideal if you come with your own car and combine the Christmas market with trips along the Moselle.

Konz-Filzen – Saartal Suite and Saar Home are on the Saar; Trier is ten minutes away by car or train. Two apartments in the same house: perfect for families or friends heading to the market together – up to 8 guests.
