Celebrating in Trier – stay together without getting under each other's feet.

A wedding on the Moselle, your parents' big birthday, the annual reunion of the old university crowd, a hen party with a wine tasting instead of a pub crawl: whenever a group comes to Trier, the same question comes up – where do we all sleep without someone ending up on the sofa? Our answer is buildings with several apartments under one roof. Everyone has their own front door, their own bathroom and their own peace, and in the morning you still meet up for breakfast.

One thing first, so there are no misunderstandings: the celebrating happens in Trier, the sleeping happens at ours. Our apartments are in residential buildings with neighbours, and we keep the promise we make to every guest – quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am, no parties, no events in the apartment. For the champagne reception, the family dinner and the night afterwards they're perfect. For the party itself, Trier has better places, and we name a few of them below.

Three houses for groups

You book all three houses directly with us: simply select 6 or 8 guests in the booking form and we'll show you the matching apartment combinations. One journey, one address, one access code per apartment – everyone checks themselves in whenever they arrive, even late after the party.

Where Trier celebrates

Weddings: civil ceremonies in Trier take place in the Turm Jerusalem on the Domfreihof, a medieval tower house right next to the cathedral; the celebration afterwards is often at wine estates in Olewig, on the Saar or in the halls of the old town. From Konz-Filzen you're in the city in ten minutes and vice versa – and if you're marrying in the Saar valley, Filzen puts you in the middle of the wine country.

Birthdays and family gatherings: a table for ten at a wine tavern, an afternoon at the Roscheider Hof open-air museum above Konz, a boat trip from Zurlauben or a tasting straight from the winegrower – at Terges or the Deutschherrenhof in Olewig, at Weingut König Johann in Filzen. Stag and hen dos, groups of friends: in summer the festivals – the wine stand on the Hauptmarkt, the old town festival, the Olewig Wine Festival at the end of July, and in autumn the wine festivals on the Moselle and Saar. In winter, the Trier Christmas market from the Hauptmarkt to the cathedral. And if you'd rather finish the evening with mulled wine or Riesling on our balcony: go ahead – just quietly, after 10 pm.

What the apartments can do

Every one of our apartments is fully equipped: kitchen with hob, oven and dishwasher, bathroom, smart TV, fast Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels included. Which means breakfast for everyone in the biggest apartment, cooking together the evening before the celebration, morning coffee on the balcony. In Biewer the Deluxe Suite has a digital piano; in Filzen the Saar Home with its two king-size beds sits next to the Saartal Suite with bedroom and sofa bed.

For a celebration with small children we have a cot on request. And if you want to stay on after the wedding – a honeymoon on the Moselle isn't a bad idea – simply add a few nights.

To be honest

Sometimes we say no. If we sense from the enquiry that the apartment itself is meant to be the party venue, we're not the right fit – that's fairer than sorting it out with the neighbours later. What we're good at: a group that's out and about in town during the day and evening and needs a quiet, beautiful place to come home to at night.
